Installation
NOTE: your air handler's control
cover and power block may be different from this example. Please see your air
handler's instruction manual for reference
1. Turn off the air handler's breaker at your
electrical panel.
2. Remove the air handler's control cover.
3. Verify that the power is off with voltmeter or
electrical tester at the power block.
4.Cut off male end off included Power Cable.
Strip wire about ½in.
6. Locate a wire access port to the control area. Feed the wire through the port from the outside of the air handler. Secure the AIR HANDLER POWER CABLE to the exterior side of the air handler OR use a simple loose overhand knot just inside the cabinet.
7. Loosen the lug lockdown screws on each power leg on the load side of the power block. See below picture for an example. NOTE: the AIR HANDLER POWER CABLE can be connected to 110VAC or 220VAC. Follow local and state electrical codes to install.
8. Insert the AIR HANDLER POWER CABLE's black leads into each lug lockdown. Tighten the lug lockdown screws making sure that none of the wires can be pulled out of the block.
9. Reinstall the air handler's control cover.
10. Turn on the air handler's breaker
